Misc Notes

  1. Webmail only shows the mail that is currently on the mail server. If you use another program, like MS-Outlook, to check your mail, it will retrieve your mail from the server. So, the mail is then stored on the local computer and is therefore no longer accessable from webmail.
  2. "Cc:" is the carbon copy field. This works similarly to using a typewriter and carbon paper, only without the mess. Each person receives a copy and all the addresses in the "To:" and "Cc:" fields are visible to the recipient.

The "Bcc:" field is the Blind carbon copy field. As the name implies, the recipient can't see who else the message was sent to. You may not want to use this because many SPAM filters block bcc's.
  3. Email etiquette discourages sending large attachments. Thay take a long time to send and receive and tend to cause mail delivery problems.
