Checking Messages caught by the Spam Filter
Due to the ever-increasing amounts of junk e-mail accumulating in our users' inboxes, we have enabled our spam filter for all users. We have also changed the way the spam filter works. If you wish to do so, you can find instructions for disabling the spam filter at the bottom of this page.
In the past, the spam filter would change the subject of the message to say ****SPAM****. From there, the e-mail client (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Mail, etc) would be responsible for moving the spam to a separate folder or for deleting the message altogether (depending on the user's preferences). The user was also responsible for setting up his or her e-mail client to do this.
Now, the spam filter has been enabled for all e-mail accounts. Spam is automatically moved to a different folder on the server and deleted after seven days. Most e-mail programs will not see the spam folder, so we are providing you with instructions so you may check your spam folder.
If you would like to check your spam folder, you may do through Webmail.
Here is how:
1.) Visit our website, and on the home page use the Webmail Logon box. Type your e-mail address, password, and click Log In.

2.) On the "Folders" drop-down box, "Inbox" will be displayed. Click on the drop-down box to reveal your folders, and click on Spam. Then, press the "Go" button right next to the drop-down box.

3.) Any messages our server identifies as spam can be checked from here. You may delete these messages, or move them to a different folder. Any messages in this folder get deleted after seven days, so if the message is one you wish to keep, simply move the message to an alternate folder.

Changing your SpamAssassin Preferences:
If for some reason you do not wish for us to filter spam on your e-mail account, or you would like to adjust the sensitivity of the filter (higher or lower), you may go to https://secure.fire2wire.com/spam/ and change your preferences.
